Tara’s love for a good story makes her heart sing. She incorporates biblical storying along with inductive Bible study methods in small groups at church, in a homeless shelter, on mission trips, on the radio, and at speaking engagements. Tara trains leaders locally, nationally, and worldwide on oral strategies for sharing the gospel. Tara loves to network field workers to make connections so they can more effectively serve our LORD and build His kingdom. She enjoys working with international college students and learning about different cultures. She served for five years as the Dean of Women of Grace University and taught courses on Orality, Biblical Womanhood, Team Dynamics, College Orientation, and Interpersonal Communication. She serves as the President and Founder of Cultivating Hearts Ministries, a nonprofit organization that seeks to make disciples one person at a time through sound doctrine using the printed and oral presentation of God’s Word. She and Greg celebrate over 29 years of marriage with two delightful adult children who keep them on their toes. Her greatest comfort is to have a cup of chai tea with her dog lying next to her as she reads her Bible early in the morning before the family wakes up.

While at a revival as a young preteen, Tara realized she needed Jesus as her Savior. She tugged on her dad's pant leg and asked permission to go forward. She was immediately baptized in the Little Miami River in Ohio. However, no one taught her what it meant to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. She was not taught how to read her Bible. Prayer came naturally, but Tara suffered the consequences of no discipleship. Through poor choices, her college years proved devastating on many levels. When she had nowhere to turn, but to Jesus, she discovered untold gifts that awaited her all along. She found healing and restoration through the Word of God. She has not turned back since. Her passion for the Word of God is contagious and authentic. She knows without a doubt that Jesus is the very air she breathes.
